Rosten grew from years spent working in Paso Robles — in the vineyards, in the cellar, and alongside the people who define this region.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of working alongside respected producers such as Booker, Epoch, Law, and Truss, experiences that shaped not only our technical understanding of wine but the discipline and intention behind it. Those lessons became the foundation of Rosten — a winery built thoughtfully from the ground up.
Today, every decision we make reflects that foundation: rooted in place, guided by experience, and committed to crafting wines that speak honestly of where they are grown.
Rochelle Berlingeri & Kirsten Dewhurst
What first connected us was an unfortunate reality — that both of our mothers were battling breast cancer. In that shared experience, we found comfort in one another.
Rosten is a combination of their names — Rochelle, Gianna’s mom, and Kirsten, Jonah’s mum. Like many mothers, the most important thing in their lives was bringing the family together.
In creating Rosten, we believe we have the opportunity to carry that forward — to build something that gathers people around the table, just as they always did. Every bottle is crafted in their honor.
Rosten is built on a commitment to craft — sourcing from distinctive vineyard sites across Paso Robles and approaching each vintage with discipline, patience, and care.
We strive to produce wines that reflect their place with clarity and depth. In honoring where we come from, we are building something meant to be shared.
